Starting from Kangemi and Isinya, both busy suburbs of Nairobi teaming with people, to Kilgoris, on the west side of the Great Rift Valley, and Ngurumani in the Valley, both rich in fertile agriculture, to Matiliku near a bustling crosspoint for travelers going to Mombasa, and Kumpa, a village on the way to the Tanzanian border, six vision clinics were conducted in June, 2017, with one common goal – to share the Good News of Jesus and to provide eye care for the good people of Kenya.
Eyes were examined, glasses were fitted, medicines were dispensed, and vision was improved. But more importantly, the Gospel was shared with 6839 Kenyans during the six days of the clinics and 385 participants expessed a new or rekindled faith in Jesus as their Savior or wanted to learn more about Him. Many thousands of people received glasses while cataract surgery was either done or planned for 225 patients.
This video shares the detail of our trip in 2014, another example of a mission week in Kenya. It is hard to capture the true nature of the work the Holy Spirit is doing in Kenya without being there. Once you go, your heart is branded with the love of the Kenya people and your life is stirred by a Mighty God.
